Summary
Alpha & Omega is a web-based application aimed at non data-savvy journalists. The tool will allow users to navigate complex prediction models and algorithms without a deep knowledge of statistics, machine learning or programming, enabling them to identify stories, casusations and draw conclusions from data.
The solution
Good data journalism is time intensive, expensive and complex. Many journalists are not trained to work with data and, more importantly, don’t have the resources to easily spot mistakes or inaccuracies. The creators of Alpha & Omega are aware of these challenges and have set out to make data-driven journalism more accessible and reduce the number of mistakes.
