Summary
Check-it clearly vizualises fake news on social media, empowering people with the tools they need to verify the news they consume.
The solution
The system submits news stories to several fact-checking tools, including fact-checking sites and lists of known fake news sources – scoring them on whether they’re real or fake. Social media users will be able to see if what they’re reading is fake and, hopefully, they’ll think twice about sharing news stories which are known to be untrue.
