Fabulator is a tool for publishers that transforms raw data into news using natural language generation techniques.
The solution
By creating rules that can be applied to data sources from any news area, Fabulator gives those without programming skills a visual drag-and-drop tool for creating algorithms that turn data into natural language. The software helps create news from statistical, geolocalised and historical data – automating repetitive editing and freeing journalists to focus on value-added work. It can also be used directly through the API to publish news. The tool will be available free for two key domains: sport and finance. And software will be developed for breaking news, emails, text messages, chatbot responses, and using text-to-speech tools for audio output.
