The system is built upon academic research in natural language processing, conducted at University College London and the University of Sheffield.

The Factmata Project aims to build a product for people to engage in the process of correcting news articles, identifying fallible claims, and supporting more accurate information on the web. Most importantly, we want to make fact checking easier, and much more fun!
