SPEECH.MEDIA - Multilingual Speech Rendering for Media
Summary
The prototype combines plug-ins for different Google tools, thus creating a complete workflow for multilingual media content. It provides the end user the option to get the audio of online video content in their language of choice, either as a voiceover or as subtitles. The challenges are a smooth flow between the different components, and synchronization with the video.
The solution
SPEECH.MEDIA builds a prototype that uses Google language technologies to facilitate multilingual news production. It combines different technologies, including speech-to-text, machine translation, text-to-speech and automated summarization.
