Summary

With "Talk of the Town - How Local News Publishers Use Location Data to get the Neighborhoods Talking" Amedia proposes to research ways in which local news publishers can use different types of location data to engage communities and strengthen local democracy. To illustrate our case, Amedia plans to prototype a mobile service that provides local news to subscribers with real-time information relevant for their location, and allows them to voice their opinion about community issues.
