TrackTheLobby - Journalism tool on influence (Round 3)
Summary
Journalists relate the results of lobbying, but do not have tools to track and analyse the way law is created. In public debate lobbing functions as a slogan, with no reference to data. We will fill this void. TrackTheLobby will equip the news ecosystem in Poland with important but not easily accessible data concerning lobbyists influencing the law. The newly created interactive web tool will share data on lobbying in Poland in the form of interactive timelines, charts and maps of connections.
The solution
In order to facilitate monitoring the activities of particular lobbyists, both professional and shadow, we will use all available datasets and pdf files and create a new, completely innovative, interactive web app. TrackTheLobby will share its data in the form of interactive timelines, charts and maps of connections. Information displayed, based on the aggregated data, will be kept crosschecked and commented by the team.
